About Debbie Gunter
Orlando native Debbie Gunter is the publisher of The Community Paper, which she purchased in 2010 while working as a full-time Realtor. With no journalism experience, the paper’s founder, Susan Titour, insisted her community connections were more important and that she could learn the business. Always one to accept a challenge, she took the leap and says she is “still learning” after 15 years.
Born at Orange Memorial Hospital in 1967, Debbie grew up in southwest Orange County and spent much of her adult life in College Park, where she raised her children. She now lives around the corner from her childhood home with her husband, Steve Gunter. Her three kids are all married now, and she has two grandchildren with another on the way.
