Esther Williams water skis and swims to Busby Berkeley’s aquatic choreography at fabulous Cypress Gardens in its prime in 1953’s “Easy to Love.” The film features an elaborate water-skiing sequence in which Esther Williams and a squadron of other water-skiers ski in formation around Winter Haven’s Lake Eloise, maneuvering around cypress trees and executing high-speed jumps.
Our SunScreens Sunday matinees features films linked to Florida. We’ll supply the popcorn, along with fascinating facts about each film. There’s nothing like seeing a movie the old-fashioned way: with a group of fellow movie fans. The series is free for members! Popcorn and beverages will be provided.
