Veterans Receive Free Admission Nov. 10-11, 2018
The Orange County Regional History Center invites veterans, active-duty military personnel, and first responders to visit the museum for free on the weekend of November 10-11, 2018, in honor of Veterans Day.
A Century Since the End of World War I
November 11, 2018, will mark the 100th anniversary of the end of “the War to End All Wars,” World War I. The war began in August 1914. The Great War, as it was called before World War II happened, was the first major war involving U.S. troops overseas.
Historical Society honors James W. “Chief” Wilson
The Historical Society presents its 2018 Donald A. Cheney Award to James W. “Chief” Wilson on Tuesday, October 30. Wilson was the legendary band director at Orlando’s Jones High School from the years 1950 to 1990.
