Become a Volunteer

As a History Center volunteer, you can help a great organization by sharing your time and talents.

You may wish to assist with educational workshops and lectures, children's programs, an ever-changing schedule of special events, a busy gift shop, and more. The History Center's ongoing volunteer needs include:
  • Tour guides
  • Special event assistants
  • Gift store clerks
  • Development/Membership assistants
  • Marketing assistants

To show our appreciation and to help make for a fulfilling volunteer experience, we reward our volunteers with a variety of "perks" including:
  • Annual Pass to the History Center after 100 volunteer hours
  • Field trips to Florida sites 3-4 times per year
  • Annual awards banquet
  • Bi-annual celebrations with prizes
  • Monthly workshops

History Center Docents are Ambassadors of the museum, honoring the past in a Smart. Surprising. Fun! exploration with guests.
