Starting with the pinball machine, journey through time to discover how electronic games have evolved, through the first computer games and rise and fall of the arcade, to the advanced game consoles of today.

Visit an arcade and take a look 'inside the box' at dramatic changes in size versus power and learn about key personalities in electronic gaming history and the sociological influences of these 'toys.'

Experience various games through the decades including Donkey Kong, Asteroids, Pac-Man, Space Invaders, and more.

Included in general admission.

Retro Gaming Arcade
Get your hands on classic video games and computers from the 1970s and ‘80s in this interactive display presented in conjunction with Games People Play: The Evolution of Video Games, back by popular demand! Music of the period sets the mood as visitors play Atari 2600, Commodore 64, Nintendo Entertainment System, and more, with members of the Orlando-based art and technology collective FamiLAB on hand to demonstrate and assist. FamiLAB supports education of both children and adults in science, technology, engineering, and math.
