Find out how author Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings became a historical resource for life in the Florida scrub country in this program with Pam Schwartz, chief curator of the Orange County Regional History Center. It’s presented in conjunction with the History Center’s newest exhibition, The Accidental Historian. Park Rangers from the Marjorie Kinnan Rawlings Historic State Park demonstrate how to make an old Florida dish called Pilau with a recipe straight from Rawlings’ classic “Cross Creek Cookery”! Space is limited; registration required.
