Days packed with exciting activites for every member of the family let everyone in on the action. Smithsonian Museum Day

The History Center joins the nationwide Smithsonian Museum Day by opening its doors free of charge to SMITHSONIAN magazine readers and Smithsonian.com visitors who present their free "Smithsonian Museum Day" admission ticket, good for two, available online at www.smithsonianmag.com. 10 a.m.-5 p.m. Call (407) 836-7010 for information.

Trick or Treat Safe Zone
Saturday, October 30

Bring your children to the History Center for a safe, fun trick or treat adventure. Young ghouls and goblins enjoy three floors of trick or treating and some not-so-scary Halloween activities. 11 a.m.-4 p.m. Free. Ages 12 and under welcome; must be accompanied by an adult. History Center Holiday at Heritage Square
Wednesday, December 1

Bring friends and family to the museum for this annual festive holiday celebration. After Mayor Richard Crotty flips the switch to light the square at sundown, come inside to enjoy musical performances and refreshments, visit with Santa, holiday crafts, and more. 5:30-8 p.m. Free. Great Toy Build Off

Using LEGO bricks, Tinker Toys, Erector Sets, or Lincoln Logs, teams will compete in a "Build Off." Teams have two hours to design and create an object using the toy building material randomly assigned to them on the day of the event. Designs will be judged on originality, resourcefulness, and practicality Teams can enter in Amateur or High School Categories. Noon-2 p.m. Free. Call (407) 836-7010 to register your team.

White House Egg Roll in Heritage Sqaure

Celebrating a historic White House tradition when it hosts The Working White House: 200 Years of Tradition and Memories exhibition, the History Center invites families with children ages 12 and under for an egg roll in the park and an egg hunt in the museum, plus other fun activities for everyone including a visit from the Easter Bunny. 11 a.m.-2 p.m. Included in general admission; up to 4 children free with paid adult admission.
